The Office for Strategic Affairs' Commitment to Inclusion and Diversity

The Office for Strategic Affairs anchors our actions in Virginia Tech’s Principles of Community, fosters an environment shaped by our core values, and embodies our institution’s motto of Ut Prosim (That I May Serve). We collaborate with the Virginia Tech community and report to the Office of the President. Dr. Menah Pratt, vice president for strategic affairs and diversity, also leads the diversity and inclusion efforts at the university.

• The university’s strategic plan, The Virginia Tech Difference: Advancing Beyond Boundaries, details our strategic priorities, documents college, institute, office and unit strategic plans, and offers a public dashboard on our progress.
• The Council on Virginia Tech History examines our histories and seeks to highlight how historically marginalized communities have shaped and continue to shape the university. The Council issued a Call for Public Art to bring these stories to life.
• VT Stories collects and examines stories and memories of the Hokie community to help us know our shared history and to make sense of it.
